Who Is This Girl? - Hardcover Journal
8-year-old me knew what’s up. It’s how old I was when my grandmother gave me my first journal, a spiralbound notebook with a cover I can’t recall. Nothing groundbreaking. But with it came her life-changing instructions: “Write whatever comes into your mind.” I wrote my first poem soon after.
The beauty of journaling is there’s no right or wrong way to do it. It doesn't have to be a chore, or something you overthink until your mood-setting candle burns out.
Your journal is a judgment and performance anxiety-free zone. An oasis of a safe space in a desert of social media. #NoFilter. Allow your ideas, thoughts, emotions, incantations, hexes, and curses to flow freely.
Because your journal is like a best friend you can tell anything to. A soul sister who just listens. An outlet for you to process your experiences and bounce off creative ideas. And a refuge for times when life busts your giant lady balls just for the hell of it.
The ritual of journaling is a form of everyday magic, a medium of communication between you and yourself that takes you on a path to deeper understanding, insight, and self-knowledge.
Some of the most prominent figures in history like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, and Leonardo da Vinci kept journals. Modern-day titans like Oprah, Barack Obama, and Richard Branson also find it beneficial and therapeutic to habitually commit their thoughts to paper.
I can’t help but wonder, would our lives be any different if they didn’t?
Virginia Woolf wrote, “A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write,” and we are here for that. With the following addendum:
Within that room, she must have our elegant matte white hardcover journal with striking forget-me-not cover.
